NO. She does NOT prescribe prescription medications or controlled substances. Your prescribing practitioner will manage prescriptions. Dr. Mehta uses nutrition, herbs, supplements, stress management and sleep management techniques, and other lifestyle changes to deal with the underlying cause(s) of dysfunction(s) of the body.

These lifestyle changes may promote optimal function and health helping you work with your prescriber (NOT Dr. Mehta) to lower the dose or titrate off your prescriptions. Many patients find mood, blood sugar, digestive, and pain relief, etc. as their body heals and they don’t need as strong a dose of some medications or may eventually stop certain medications under supervision and monitoring of a prescribing practitioner.
